July 15, 2019- Day 5
Today in the United States of America, Phillip and I, along with Zach (an American), Luke (an American), rené (a German), and Melina (a German) went to The Kentucky Derby Museum. The Kentucky Derby is a famous horse race that takes place in Louisville Kentucky. Every year millions of people travel from all across America and the world to attend the most exciting 2 minutes in sports at Churchill Downs. In the afternoon, we went to Louisville’s urban downtown to walk across a bridge to Indiana. The bridge was opened in 2015 and was used as a train track line, but now it is open to all pedestrians. The bridge leads across the Ohio river and into New Albany, Indiana. In New Albany we went to a local candy store and bought some sweets. After going home and packing for our next adventure, we returned to New Albany, Indiana to leave from Saint Marks United Church of Christ to Minneapolis, Minnesota.
