July 12 2019- Day 2
Today was very eventful. I drove up to Columbus, Indiana to meet with the German counterparts and the rest of the American group for the first time as a whole. We had a little discussion time with the entire group about plans for the day and reviewed the schedule, then we ventured out for lunch at this neat 1920’s themed diner. The restaurant was very beautiful and while we waited for the food we bonded through a game of UNO which I believe was rigged against me, at the restaurant we also had GIGANTIC portions of ice cream which was delicious! Once this part of our day was over we ventured out into the city and got to enjoy a group talk bringing us closer together. We then did a bible study where we discussed the environment and ways to change it which was enlightening, after bible study we headed to dinner which was very different but a lovely experience. We then ended the evening with a vespers that discussed our happiness with the trip thus far and it was beautiful. Overall the day was amazing and we’re off to a good start.
