Young Ambassadors Generation 7

June 30, 2019 – sending worship

Today we had our sending worship in the Bonifatius church in Raumland. Each member of Generation 7 introduced himself and his motivation to be part of the program. In the worship the older generations gave us little gifts which will be very useful during our time in the United States. First, we got suitcase straps to make sure our suitcases stay closed while traveling. Next, we got little notebooks from Generation 6 which we can use as travel diaries. Thus we can write down our experiences or for example recipes of the food we liked. Last we got a cross made of sticks.

The sermon was about  the song “Kaum erwarten” (= I can´t wait) by Wincent Weiß (Currently you can hear this song in the German radios quite a lot). This song was very suitable, as we all can´t wait to finally travel to the United States.

Last our superintendent Stefan Berk blessed us for our journey. The worship ended with the traditional friendship circle.

Afterwards, we sat together and ate gyros and salads.
